Research and editorial
The in-house team that researches, writes, and maintains the reference pages on this site. We are researchers and editors, not technicians — we compile from OEM service literature, SAE standards, regulatory text, and verified repair invoices, and we hand every technical page to a credentialed technician for review before it publishes. Where a page has not yet had that review, it stays a draft and says so.
These bylines exist because pages are waiting on them. They carry no name, no certification number, and no claimed years of experience, and they are excluded from the structured data we publish about contributors. Every page pointing at one of them is a draft.
Technical reviewer — Class 7/8 aftertreatment and engine
Reserved byline for the contracted heavy-duty technical reviewer who signs off on Class 7/8 engine, aftertreatment, and air-system pages. This slot is unfilled: no name, no certification number, and no years of experience are claimed here until a real technician is contracted and their ASE and OEM credentials have been checked against the issuing body. Every page currently pointing at this byline is a draft and is excluded from our sitemap.
Technical reviewer — Thermo King and Carrier Transicold
Reserved byline for the contracted transport refrigeration reviewer who signs off on reefer unit alarm code and service pages. Unfilled. We will list an EPA 608 certification and the relevant Thermo King or Carrier factory training only once we have verified both directly. Reefer pages are the most underserved category on the open web precisely because the people who know this equipment are busy; we would rather wait for a real one than invent a plausible one.
Are you a credentialed heavy-truck technician?
These are paid positions. We are looking for people with current ASE, OEM, or EPA 608 credentials who will put their real name on a page, and we verify certifications with the issuing body before anything publishes. Reefer and diesel pickup coverage are the most urgent.
