SPN 5246

SPN 5246 reports aftertreatment SCR operator inducement severity — the escalation level of the regulator-mandated penalty that forces an operator to fix an emissions fault rather than run indefinitely with it. It is a consequence parameter, not a failure: something else caused it, and 5246 is the enforcement.

FMI 0

FMI 0 means data valid but above normal operating range, most severe level. In inducement terms, that is the final stage.
